August Giulianelli, 84, loving father, devoted husband and dedicated friend to many, of Buda, Texas, passed away on December 27, 2011 of complications due to emphysema and lung cancer.
August was born in Hartford, Connecticut, the only child of Carina and Primo Giulianelli. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a life member of the NRA. After leaving the Navy, August trained as a draftsman for Cherry Valley Homes in East Meadow and was a mechanical systems engineer for Sperry Corporation in Long Island and Harris Corporation (formerly Radiation Inc.) in Palm Bay, Florida. During his time at Harris, he received several commendations for his work on the Apollo Space Program.
August leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Louise, his son Arthur, and daughter Lisa.

A Remembrance Gathering was held January 1, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
