Alice Jean Mundine (1953-2012)

Alice Jean Mundine, 59, of Buda, lost her battle with cancer and has gone with God. Born February 23, 1953 in Luling, Texas, she is the daughter of Bobby and Evelyn May of Luling, sister of Barbara Kilgore of Greensboro, Georgia, Cynthia Jones of Humble, Texas, Robert May of Kingwood, Texas, Debra Boyle of Waxahachie, Texas, and beautiful wife of 42 years to John M. Mundine of Buda. She went to be with God on Monday, June 11, 2012. She is survived by her three children, Amber Johnson of Austin, Dora Wood of Luling and John S. Mundine of Luling, seven grandchildren, Allen, Chelsie, Ian and Isaiah Johnson of Austin, Claire Wood of Luling and Samantha and John Drew Mundine of Luling.

Alice is a gift of God who provided the way of life and loving care to all near her. She was the brightest light of life, full of intelligence, courage and heart. She served all others in life first before serving her own needs. She was a spectacular businesswoman and chief executive officer of two corporations for many years. God help us all in your loving way. She will be in our hearts and souls forever.

So long Alice, we will all meet again in heaven. We love you so.

The family received friends June 14 at O’Bannon Funeral Home and services were held June 15 at the Central Baptist Church with graveside services in the Luling City Cemetery.
