FROM STAFF REPORTS
The Hays County Commissioners Court approved polling locations and times for early voting in the Democratic and Republican Primary Runoff Elections. Election Day is July 31.
“Any voter eligible to vote an early ballot by personal appearance can do so at any of the locations in Hays County,” Joyce Cowan, Elections Administrator for Hays County, said. “Early voting begins Monday, July 23 and goes through Friday, July 27. On Election Day, July 31, voters will need to go to their specific precinct location and should check their precinct number on their voter registration cards to ensure they go to the correct location on that day.”
To vote by mail, applications for mail-in ballots must be received at the Elections Office at the Hays County Government Center, 712 South Stagecoach Trail, San Marcos 78666, by 5 p.m. July 24.
Early voting at all polling places will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 23 through Wednesday, July 25 and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 26 through Friday, July 27. Early voting locations include the Hays County Government Center, 712 South Stagecoach Trail, San Marcos; Kyle City Hall, 100 W. Center Street, Kyle; Wimberley Community Center, 14068 Ranch Road 12, Wimberley; and Dripping Springs ISD Administration Building, 510 W. Mercer St., Dripping Springs.
Cowan noted that early voters who choose the Government Center will use a separate entrance to vote and will not have to go through the building’s security checkpoint unless they have other business in the building.
