Saturday is the day for all Buda Bulldogs to gather at the “old” high school to relive their school days of yesterday. The doors open at 9:30 a.m. for the visiting to start. There will be a silent auction, raffle sale for a handmade quilt and barbecue lunch served at noon. Come join your classmates for a trip down memory lane.

New officers were elected at the board of directors meeting of the Onion Creek Senior Citizens last Thursday. Chairperson for the coming year will be Carolyn Hesser, vice chairperson is JoAnn Keller, Annette Chambers Rodriguez, secretary and Donna Sinner is the new treasurer. The seniors meet every Thursday at 401 Barton’s Crossing in Buda. New members are always welcome. For information call 512-468-4451.

Watch for the opening soon of Wild Flour Cakery and Boutique on Main Street in downtown Buda. Also work should start this week on new water lines and street lighting in the historical downtown area.
Hungry folks will be happy to see that not only is there a new Schlotzky’s on RR 967 but also Subway is under construction just down the road at the Buda Sports Center.

Elaine Mason is recovering from knee replacement surgery and has now moved from Warm Springs in Luling to West Oaks Rehab at 3200 West Slaughter Lane in Austin. Shirley Burrell is back home after recent hip surgery and is getting in-home therapy. Hope both ladies are up and going strong very soon.

Shop downtown Buda at the Buda Farmers Market for reasonably priced local produce and goods. The market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon and is located between Buda City Hall and the water tower at RR 967 and Main Street.
