Kyle police investigators are asking the public to help them identify a woman who was struck and killed Wednesday night while walking on Interstate 35 in Kyle.
The victim appears to be a Hispanic woman in her early 20s with a medium build and dark brown, medium-length hair, according to a Kyle city spokesman. She was wearing white Ralph Lauren canvas-type shoes, pink striped socks, blue jeans, blue fingernail polish, a pink T-shirt and a blue lightweight jacket.
Police are also looking for the vehicle or vehicles that hit the woman just after 10 p.m. Wednesday on I-35 just north of Center Street, the spokesman said.
An autopsy is being conducted this morning to establish the cause of death and to collect any evidence that may be useful in determining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Anyone with any information about the possible identity of the victim or the vehicle(s) that may have been involved should contact Kyle police at 512-268-0859.
