My name is William Doherty, but everyone knows me as Pee Wee. I was born in Buda and have lived in Hays County my entire life. I’ve been a small businessman, active in the community and active in my church.
I have been fortunate enough to have known every Hays County sheriff since the 1950s. I’m happy to say many of them were and are good friends.
We have an opportunity this year to elect another sheriff who is the embodiment of all the good attributes of many of those earlier sheriffs. Tommy Ratliff is a good family man, honest and has high integrity, I’m happy to call him a friend. I’m happier to be actively supporting him and encourage all of the voters of Hays County to do the same.
Recently I met with my good friend Bobby Kinser, a former Hays County sheriff. I have known Sheriff Kinser since I was a teenager and throughout his law enforcement career he has represented all the positive things and professionalism we expect in law enforcement officers. I can say that Tommy Ratliff has those same traits.
Let’s do what is right and elect Tommy Ratliff for all the citizens of Hays County.
