MSgt. Samuel “Sonny” Redix, Jr., age 73, passed away at his home in Kyle on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. He was born on March 8, 1939 in Seguin to Samuel Redix, Sr. and Bessie (Ball) Redix.
He is survived by his wife, Kaylar Ann (Kimble) Redix; sons, Warren T. Redix of El Paso and Samuel D. Redix of Kyle; daughters, Kimberly A. Redix of El Paso and Traci L. Redix Brewer of Denver, Colorado; brother, Shanley Redix of Texarkana; sisters, Bessie Lee Watson of New Braunfels, Lillie Mae Redix of Zorn and Yvonne Redix of Austin; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 19, at the First Baptist Church NBC in San Marcos, with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 22, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
