Members of Buda’s Onion Creek Senior Citizens have announced the sale of brick pavers as a fundraiser for the new senior center. The first 100 brick pavers ordered will be placed at the prestigious center of the walkway of the new center. The engraved pavers are $100 each. The Deison family descendents hit town again this year for their annual family reunion. There were folks coming from Austin, Manchaca, Georgetown, Houston, Johnson City and Boerne, as well as Buda, to gather at Buda’s Onion Creek Senior Citizens Center. The oldest in attendance was 92-year-old Myrtle (Deison) Johnson of Buda. All enjoyed their time together and they look forward to next year when they can meet at the new senior center for their reunion.
“Catch the Flame” is the theme of the youth revival that will take place on Saturday, Sept. 22, at Buda City Park from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. All are welcome to come.

Word from the Buda United Methodist Church Men’s Group is that the annual “Pumpkin Patch” will be in a new location this year. It’s still on Main Street, but just across the railroad tracks at 824 North Main, on the grounds at PQ Real Estate office. Pumpkins are to arrive on Thursday, Sept. 27, around 5 p.m.
Yea! First day of autumn is Saturday, Sept. 22.
