The Federation of Hays County Women donated $300 to support the work of Hands of Hope, a program which provides women with the education, skills and support to be self-sufficient. The participants learn academic skills, job readiness, and time and money management to equip them for better employment opportunities. Federation board members (l-r) Michele Schalin, vice-president, Debbie Ohlman, treasurer, Johnell Huebner, president, and communications director Kate Shaw join Hands of Hope representative LaDean Williamson, center. Hands of Hope is sponsored by the First Baptist Church of San Marcos, with support from area churches and individuals.
