Summertime is almost here and with the warm weather comes reunion time with friends and family. Coming up June 15-22 will be the 116 annual reunion at Camp Ben McCulloch in Driftwood.

A 20th year class reunion for the Hays High School graduates of 1992 will be held the weekend of June 30 at the Coffee Grounds in Buda. Check out http://hays1992reuion.eventbrite.com to register.
On July 14, the class of 1977 will celebrate their 35th class reunion at Painted Horse Pavilion on FM 1626. They are also inviting the classes of 1974-1980 to join in the event. For information contact Sandra Tenorio at [email protected].

Not a reunion but a gathering of folks that like to play Texas Hold’em poker can participate in the 4th annual tournament sponsored by the Buda Lions Club on Sunday, June 24. The tournament will be held at the Onion Creek Senior Center in Buda with all registration fees benefiting the senior building fund. We received word that Joanne (Archer) Lewis, age 81, passed away on Thursday, May 3. She graduated from Buda High School in 1948 and was a resident of Stephenville, Texas.

Another chance to exercise your voting rights is upon us again. Election Day is Tuesday, May 29 to vote in the primary. Early voting has started and the polls will be open at City Hall in Buda on Friday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and also in Kyle on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Remember in early voting, you can vote in Buda or Kyle.
