After a festive performance by the Lehman High School mariachi band got the party started, the Kyle Public Library Open House turned solemn as members of the Live Oak Masonic Lodge performed the Cornerstone Ceremony. As secretary Joe Bostwick passes his cowboy hat, Pamela Hastings offers a bracelet to be included in the City of Kyle time capsule which will be entombed in the cornerstone of the new library. The Kyle Chamber of Commerce then conducted the Opening of the Doors as the community poured into the library for more dedications, tours and delicious refreshments served by a cadre of volunteers from KASZ, Kohl’s and Target.
