New AMVETS Post opens in Kyle

The Hays County Commissioners Court issued a proclamation last week establishing Central Texas AMVETS Post 115 in Kyle. Post Commander David Lyle and Legislative Affairs Officer James Clements introduced members of the new Post and the Post Honor Guard, which posted the colors at the start of court. Local veteran Alan Cameron, President of Chapter 923, Vietnam Veterans of America, presented Post 115 with a gavel and its official badge on behalf of the County Veteran Services Office. The Post will begin meeting at 401 N. Rebel Drive in Kyle following the relocation in late 2012 of the Hays County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office to its new building. The post has adopted Cub Scout Pack 2951. Pictured are AMVET members in green uniform, from left to right, are Max Vasquez, James Clements, Clint Williams, David Lyle, Robin Rose, Mark LeMense, and Kendra Krebs along with Cub Scout Pack 2951 (first row) Alex Tovar and Joel Tovar; (second row) Pack Leader Jeff Alexander, Adam Harris, Ethan Espinoza, Victor Valdez, Nic Burgess, Anthony Caldwell and Alec Martin (third row) Wyatt Alexander (holding pack flag).
