About 200 pounds of Halloween candy was bought back last Friday at Buda Dental Professionals. The candy will be sent overseas to our men and women serving in the military. Thanks, Dr. Taylor and Dr. Strickland and all your staff for helping to keep our teeth sugar-free!
Girl Scout Troop #602 will have a garage sale on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Hays Hills Baptist Church on FM 1626. The girls are raising money so they can shop for gifts to donate to Brown Santa. This is also part of their community service in order to earn the bronze award. So plan to stop by Hays Hills on Saturday and purchase something for this very good cause.

Fly your flag on Monday, Nov. 12, in honor of Veterans Day and give thanks to our soldiers of yesterday and today. Also as a reminder, Buda City Hall, Buda Public Library, Buda Post Office, as well as many banks will be closed on Monday. No holiday for our area students as they must attend classes and many of the schools will have special programs to honor our veterans.
