Regarding John Young’s piece on drug testing welfare recipients: Conservatives are all for drug testing to qualify for benefits, but how do you pay for the testing? Reducing benefits to cover the cost is unacceptable to most folks, so I guess we have to raise taxes some more, right?
Also, in regards to corporate subsidies, Republicans need to ignore idiots like Grover Norquist who contend that a decrease in corporate subsidies amounts to a tax increase. If they want voters to take them seriously.
