Edward “Coach Eddie” Godina, 56, of Buda, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012, at South Austin Hospital. Eddie was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and coach. He was born October 6, 1955.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Godina; children, Crystal and husband Daniel; Alicia and husband Kevin; grandsons, Alex, Kaleb and Josh; parents, Gilbert and Josie Godina; brothers, Gilbert Godina, Jr. & Richard Godina & wife Janie; nephew James Godina & wife April.
A Rosary was recited Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Harrell Funeral Home in Austin and Mass of Christian Burial was conducted Friday, August 31, 2012, at San Jose Catholic Church in Austin. Burial will followed at Assumption Cemetery in Austin.
