In an effort to reduce electricity usage, the Maintenance and Operations Department and district Green Team was proud to sponsor the Vampire March during the Christmas holiday. Maintenance and operations crews used a point system to determine scores, with the lowest score receiving $3,500. Campuses split the prize if there was a tie, and there was a tie. Campuses claiming the honor included: Fuentes Elementary, Tobias Elementary, Simon Middle School, Hemphill Elementary and Blanco Vista Elementary.
