Two Destination Imagination teams from Carpenter Hill Elementary, the D.I. Dudes (bottom l-r) Omar Silva, Ethan Caldwell, Emme Handal, Brooke Sheely, Julia Pierce, Anthony Ortegon and Tyler Zapalac; and the Never Ending Noggins (top, l-r), Emma Jackson, Taylor Cooper, Alex Ehlers, Dominique Rodriguez, Gabby Segovia and Jenna Sheely came in first place in their respective challenge categories at the Regional competition in February. Both teams will advance to the State D.I. Tournament in Corpus Christi on April 14 along with the Elm Grove DI team. The teams were recognized by the Hays CISD School Board at the meeting on March 26. The Never Ending Noggins are managed by Janelle Knight, and the D.I. Dudes are managed by Christy Pierce and Ann-Marie Sheely. Not pictured: Isis Hershman.
