School Briefs: 04/11/12

Calling Class of 2025!
The district has set Friday, April 13, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. as Kindergarten Round-Up day at all elementary campuses in Hays CISD. This is an opportunity for parents to register new kindergarten students (children who will be 5 by Sept. 1) for the 2012-13 school year. Based on a previous year’s attendance in any given grade, the district is able to predict about how many students will advance to the next grade. However, it’s different with kindergarten. There’s really no way to know until Kindergarten Round-Up. Knowing well in advance of a school year helps the district make sure it has enough kindergarten teachers and classrooms to handle the incoming class of 2025.

Kyle Elementary School will be offering an evening enrollment and campus tours from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 12 for incoming Kyle Elementary School students only.
