Christmas cheer will radiate again as the Buda Trail of Lights returns for its 4th year of fun, fellowship, music, and holiday splendor at Historic Stagecoach Park. Mark your calendars for Dec. 14-22 from 6-10 p.m. – and don’t miss out on this free family event. Park visitors will enjoy a spectacular display of twinkling lights illuminating Stagecoach Park with various Winter Wonderland scenes and themes from more than 50 local businesses, churches, neighborhoods, and organizations. The 1-kilometer (.62-mile) trail loop and park entry trail will be lined with approximately 25,000 LED lights, with lighted displays positioned around the trail loop. New this year is a 60 foot tall lighted Christmas tree that you don’t want to miss! Free parking is at Cabela’s, with free shuttles to the Park.
The city of Buda would like to thank our many sponsors, including U.S. Foodservice, Concentra Urgent Care, Murphy USA, Cabela’s, Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN), Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) and the Creekside Villas Senior Village. In addition, we would like to thank the Santa Cruz Catholic School for providing concessions for the event.
On Dec. 14-15, as part of the Trail of Lights, there will be a Holiday Extravaganza hosted by the Buda Downtown Merchants Association from 6-9 p.m. Visitors to Downtown Buda will be treated to vendors set up on the greenbelt, and businesses on Main Street will be open late for last-minute holiday shopping. Enjoy carriage rides, food and other activities! For more information, call (512) 295-7170.
