Milestones: Sept. 26, 2012

Dr. Chris Boleman, Texas 4-H and Youth Development Program Director, presents Richard Parrish with the “Excellence in Animal Science Programming Award” during the Texas Association of Extension 4-H Agents annual conference in Roundup.


Michael Wenhold of Kyle graduated from Tarleton State University with a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from the university’s Stephenville campus. Commencement ceremonies were held Aug. 11, 2012, at Tarleton’s Memorial Stadium.

Tiffany Kirkwood of Buda, earned a Master of Education degree from Concordia University, Nebraska in August.

The Texas Association of Extension 4-H Agents presented an award to Richard Parrish, Agriculture and Natural Resources agent. He received the “Excellence in Animal Science Programming Award” for his Livestock Extravaganza – a youth livestock workshop that helps 4-H and Future Farmers of America members increase their knowledge and skills related to their respective livestock species. It also creates awareness of the importance of the Quality Counts ethics program and allows them the chance to visit one-on-one with industry representatives.
