Jaxon Mitchell, of Kyle, won the all-around championship for Level 5, ages 7-8 at the Texas State Southern Division Region 3 Gymnastic Competition in Humble last month. The competition is a USGA sanctioned event and is the same system that all U.S. Olympic competitors go through. Additionally, Mitchell and his Buda teammates Peyton Vaughn, Jacob Cullen, Connor Ambrisco, D.J. Hamilton, Clark Scallon and Jordan Harding, on the Olympia Hills team, took third place in the team competition.
