Eleanor Hayes Earley, age 88 of Buda, was born July 31, 1923 in Hazelton, Iowa to Herbert and Ada Mae Hayes. She passed away on the 11th day of April, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Earley, her parents and sister, Avis Buchtela. She is survived by her sister, Libby Threadgill; daughters, Ellen Cerda, Connie Matthews and JoAnn Bayes; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Eleanor was a member of the United Methodist Church and also a member of the Onion Creek Senior Citizens in Buda. She loved playing “42” with all her friends at the center. Eleanor baked the best homemade rolls and we could always count on her bringing them for our covered dish meals at the senior center.
A Gathering was held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas, with Chapel Service and Interment immediately following.
