What they’re saying: “We tried hard we did our jobs and we tried to come back. We have to keep pushing and trying to get the team motivated,” said Lehman offensive lineman Julian Silguero.

Players to watch:
Lehman: RB Paul Brown, DB Tyler Hyss, DB/TE Tyler Dodero, DL Kris Hernandez, OL Kenny Higgins, QB Paul Matthews, WR/KR Kelton Powell.

Lockhart: RB C.J. McKinney, RB Marcos Rodriguez, RB Curtis Hawkins, WR Brandon Clinger, LB Levi Mair, OT/DT Ryne Lehman.

Intangibles: Lehman and Lockhart are both coming off stinging losses by a combined score of 103-14 to District 27-4A elites Tivy and Alamo Heights. Lockhart has several things to play for against the Lobos. The Lions are still in the playoff hunt but must win Friday night to stay in the postseason race. Lockhart also definitely has revenge on its mind as Lehman pummeled the Lions 31-7 in 2011. Lehman is also playing for respect after a 62-7 loss at home at the hands of Tivy a week ago. A win over the Lions would not only be a huge boost to Lehman’s confidence, it would give the Lobos their first district win. The Lions’ tricky Slot-T offense may prove too tough in Lockhart, however, as the Lehman defense must find a way to slow down the running game Friday night.
