What they’re saying:
“We thought it would be a good opportunity to give Jeremy a shot. He’s been playing quarterback on JV so we pulled him up. Jeremy responded well so we let him just keep running with it and he did a really good job for us,” Lehman head coach Todd Raymond on sophomore QB Jeremy Schilhab’s performance last week against Lockhart.
Players to watch
Lehman: QB Jeremy Schilhab, RB Paul Brown, DB Tyler Hyss, DB/TE Tyler Dodero, DL Kris Hernandez, OL Kenny Higgins, QB Paul Matthews, WR/KR Kelton Powell.
Clemens: QB: JJ Elkins, RB Demarius Burton, RB Kristian Carmona, RB Nathanial Padilla, WR Preston Bass, WR Jordan Valadez, DB Chase Foreman, LB Kolin Hill, DE Garret Kizer.
Intangibles: There’s no question it’s been a tough year on the gridiron in Lobo Land. Coming off a 6-4 season in which Lehman won two district games for the first time ever, the Lobos find themselves 1-8 overall and 0-6 in district heading into their final game of the season against Clemens at Shelton Stadium. The Buffaloes have had an even rougher go of it this year, as Clemens is winless on the season coming into the contest. Look for the Lobos to rise up and gain some confidence heading into the offseason.
