Students from across the district will perform the popular musical, Footloose, about a high school boy and his move to a small town. Although he knew there would be adjustments, he wasn’t prepared for the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing, instituted by the local preacher. When the preacher’s daughter sets her sights on him, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage his reputation. A heartfelt story emerges celebrating youth and discovery.
The musical will be performed at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center February 2-4 at 7 p.m. with a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. Reserved tickets are available by calling 268-8443.
