Hays County News Release: Registration Deadline is April 24 for Divorce Workshop at Hays County Dispute Resolution Center
The deadline to register for the upcoming Divorce Workshop at the Hays County Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) is Tuesday, April 24, for the April 28 session. The three-hour class brings together a family law attorney, a family therapist and a financial planner to offer critical information about successfully completing a divorce while lessening some of the impact.
“We find that divorcing spouses often get misinformation from friends and the Internet about how to proceed with a divorce and end up wasting time and money,” said Tera Cleland, Executive Director of the DRC. “This class will help persons considering divorce prepare not only for the legalities, but for the emotional and financial impact that a divorce can have on families.”
The course is $50 per person and will be held at the Hays County Dispute Resolution Center, 829 N. LBJ Drive, Suite 108, San Marcos, from 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, April 28. For more information or to register contact Hays County DRC at 512-878-0382 or www.hcdrc.org. The DRC is a 501-c-3 non-profit organization designed to provide residents of Hays County with mediation and negotiation services that will allow an alternative way to resolve disputes.
