Lobos and Rebels receive advanced placement honors

Sixteen Lehman High School Lobos and 42 Hays High School Rebels, including some 2012 graduates from both schools, received notification of Advanced Placement Honors.


Students who receive exceptional test results on end-of-course AP exams are eligible for the honors.


Lehman High senior Matthew Cruz was named AP Scholar With Honor. Class of 2012 Valedictorian Madeleine Hewitt was named an AP Scholar With Distinction; she also earned the designation of National AP Scholar.


Other Lehman Class of 2012 graduates receiving AP Scholar recognition included Kody Banda, Ian Day, Desiree Kittel, Shannon Pickett, Rolando Ramirez and Michelle Williamson.


Hays High senior Victor Schroers was named AP Scholar With Honor. Five Rebels from the Class of 2012 were recognized as AP Scholar with Distinction: Steven Claggett, Gabriella Hunt, Jennifer Putman, Victoria Volker and Madeline Whisenant.


Two members of the Class of 2012, Emily Dotterer and Arthur Hardwick, received AP Scholar with Honor recognition.


The members of the Rebel Class of 2012 who were named AP Scholars were Grant Anderson, John Ayala, Tom Ayers, Carly Bell, Enrique Bracamontes, Emily Cervantes, James Clark, Emily Crowell-Stevens, Jonathan De Leon, Alexander Delgado Reed, Hannah Hadidi, Rachel Harvey, Eduardo Hernandez, Annalily Lopez, Michael Pieprzica, Kelsea Sadler, Brittany Santos, Stephen Sharp, Cynthia Vannatter, Anna Weinheimer and Sarah Yager.
