Kyle residents may now dispose of household hazardous waste from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug 3 at the City of San Marcos Traffic Yard, 630 E. Hopkins. Items that will not be accepted include: More than 10-5 gallon buckets, tires, medical wastes, containers larger than 5 gallons, empty containers, compressed gas cylinders, pharmaceuticals or waste generated by businesses. The program will also have a limited amount of materials good for reuse available free to the public. Products in good condition such as latex and oil based paint, caulk, insect spray, fertilizer and cleaners will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
