Moore family supports Kohler

My family not only supports Mr. Kohler because he is a great person, but also because he is truly the picture perfect definition of an advocate for Youth Organizations.

Constable James Kohler – 2012 Friend of 4H, Hays County

The definition of Friend of 4H is an individual outside of the 4H organiztion who has made a very special contribution to 4H through his or her time, influence or special support.

James Kohler has been a true friend of 4H for 32 years. Mr. Kohler has collected, on average, $12,000 each year for the Hays County Livestock Show Auction. Some years have been even more. So over the last 32 years the “Kohler Pot” has purchased approximately $384,000 worth of youth projects. He is notassociated with any club, booster group or a specific town. He does it for ALL Hays County kids. This is just the type of person Mr. Kohler is ... all about the youth. Not only does he support 4H, but he also sponsors youth sports by being a team sponsor. He also can be found in his home town on Friday nights on the football field sideline, supporting the local High School football team. His job is to keep everyone on the field safe. You may have also seen him in the past escorting the band and football teams to the out of town games. He would drive his avocado green 1978 Plymouth Salon patrol car with the buses to insure their safe travels. He had been the voice on Tuesdays and Thursdays night Jr High, Freshman and Jr. Varsity football games for many years.

All the above time and support has been given freely on his own personal time.  When we are all at home resting from a long day’s work, he is volunteering to help our youth programs be successful.  I hope you vote for the MAN IN THE GREEN CAR (or Truck these days).  A vote for him is a vote for our children.
