Louisiana Swamp Thing and Crawfish Festival this weekend

Put on your dancing shoes, strap on your feedbags and get ready for the 19th annual Louisiana Swamp Thing and Crawfish Festival running from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Buda City Park. Tickets are $20 (all charges included) at the gate the day of the show, and kids 8 and under are free with an adult. There will be 7,000 pounds of free crawfish and Louisiana cuisine prepared by concessionaires from Louisiana and Texas with an extensive menu of Cajun seafood, etouffee, jambalaya, red beans and rice, boudain, and gumbo. There will be arts and crafts, kids’ activities, belly dancing and a traditional New Orleans parade.
