Ruth Fears, 81, of Buda was called home on Monday, May 28, 2012. Ruth was born to the late George and Emma Harper on May 4, 1931. Ruth attended Antioch schools in Buda. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Antioch AME. Ruth loved being active and serving in the church. “Auntie Ruth” will be remembered for her cooking and weekend bake sales at the Buda Grocery & Grill.
Ruth was married to Lee Campbell Fears. No children were born to this union. At a later age, she was blessed by God with one daughter, Terosha T’nee Fears. Ruth was preceded in death by siblings. She leaves behind daughter, grandchildren and siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 1, 2012, at King-Tears Mortuary in Austin with burial at Antioch Community Cemetery in Buda.
