The Chapa Middle School Wind Ensemble scored a pair of its members to the TMEA region band, landing chairs for tuba player Bailey Nance and bass clarinetist Landry Rohde. Nance and Rohde were among a six-member CMS contingent that earned district band honors and additionally qualified to audition for region. Other Cougars earning those regional auditions included Majia Solis, Loppy Huang, Jessica Espinoza and Liliana Hauer. Even more Cougars landed district band chairs, including Caitlin Cherkitz, Kaylee Wipff, Sarah Levine, Alexis Whitten, Dayna Gonzalez, Anahi Fajardo, Brianna Salas, Mariah Garza, Hector Lima and Ben Verse.
