The Hays High School Art Club is raising awareness to help end hunger. A minimum donation of $10 allows patrons to select a unique, handmade ceramic bowl and keep it as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. A light dinner of soup or pasta will be served in the bowls, courtesy of the Hays CISD culinary-arts students, Back Burner Bistro, as well as school staff. Paper bowls will also be available for purchase: $3 for children (12 and younger) and $5 for adults. Enjoy entertainment and a silent auction of student artwork. All proceeds benefit Mobile Loaves and Fishes, Miracles on Wheels and Heifer International. The event takes place from 5:30-8 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Hays High School cafeteria.
