Congratulations to the local athletes who qualified for the Class 4A Region IV Track and Field Meet April 27-28 at Alamo Stadium in San Antonio. The top three finishers in each event at the District 27-4A Meet held at Canyon last week advanced to regionals.
The Lehman High boys who advanced were: Clifford Garner 110 High Hurdles, 800-Meter Relay, 1,600-Meter Relay; Jaylon Hardaway 400-Meter Dash; 1,600-Meter Relay; Charles Williams 800-Meter Relay, 1,600-Meter Relay; Ethan Martin 800-Meter Relay; Trevor McClintock 800-Meter Relay and Nick Tamez 1,600-Meter Relay.
The Lehman girls who advanced were: Heidi Munoz 200 Meters, 400-Meter Relay, 1,600-Meter Relay; Aleeya Eskridge 400-Meter Relay, 1,600-Meter Relay; Cheyenne Morgan 1,600-Meter Relay; Ariana Gallegos High Jump; Cydney Ervin 400-Meter Relay, 1,600-Meter Relay; and Biannca Bell 400-Meter Relay.
The Hays athletes that qualified were: Mark Oldham 1600-Meter Relay; Meredith Driskell Pole Vault; Taylor Hough 1600-Meter Relay, Triple Jump; Michael Normand 800 Meters, 1600 Meter Relay; Mariana Sigala 800 meters, 400 meters; Leslie Simoneau 400-Meter Relay; Taven Mayberry 100 Meters, 200 Meters; Mason Gill Pole Vault; Travis Noey 1600-Meter Relay; Savannah Derrick 400-Meter Relay; Martin Horn 110 High Hurdles; Caitlyn Martin 400-Meter Relay and Meagan Gray Pole Vault, Long Jump, and 400-Meter Relay.
