Margaret Marie Holt of Kyle, beloved and cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the age of 86. She was born August 11, 1925, in Buda to Sylvester and Beulah (Mayes) Whisenant.
Her husband, J.P. James Holt, Sr., two granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter preceded her in death. She is survived by three sons, James Holt, Jr. and wife, Jo Ann, Robert A. Holt and wife, Susan, and Kenneth Holt and wife, Debbie; four daughters, Lois A. LaCaze and husband, Lamar, Sharon M. Heideman and husband, Daniel, Glenda R. Dees and husband, John, and Janet C. Patterson and husband, Ray; sister, Billie Webb; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Services were held Monday, April 2, 2012, in the Pennington Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Horton officiating. Interment followed at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale.
