Eldrich Albert “Litz” Kunze, age 85, of Driftwood passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 in Kyle. Eldrich was born January 15, 1927 in La Coste, Texas to the late George and Emma Geiger Kunze. He was a graduate of La Coste High School and served in the Navy during WWII.
Eldrich was preceded in death by his first wife, Janette Case Wilder Kunze, second wife, Ruth Merlo; brother, George Kunze Jr. and son-in-law, Nolan James Sr. Survivors include his children, Cougar James of Driftwood, Deebo Kunze and his wife Norma of Elroy, and Bobbie Baird of Castroville; grandchildren, Drenda James, Nolan James Jr., Marshall James, Pamela Lively, Victoria Kunze and Robert Pieczkiewicz; great grandchildren, Ian James Hunkin, Robert Pieczkiewicz, Michael Pieczkiewicz and Brandy Pieczkiewicz; sister, Lillian Pittman; brother, Harvey Lee Kunze and wife Norene all of La Coste; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were Monday, April 2, 2012 at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Interment followed at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Castroville. Memorials may be made in his memory to Odyssey Hospice.
