Daniel Sexton of Buda was one of four San Marcos Academy seniors to win an award from the Capital Area Optimist Club last month. Daniel received an award in the government category. Shane Boyer and Tiara Hansen of San Marcos received awards for community service and teenager of the year, respectively, and Peter Wang of China won in the mathematics category. The Academy selected 27 seniors to attend the event where they competed against students from 12 other area schools.
