The Friends of the Buda Library are holding their annual book sale this weekend to support the Buda Library. Buda Friends can shop on Friday, Nov. 30, beginning at 6 p.m. If you’re not a member already, individual and family memberships ($15 or $25) may be purchased at the door. The sale will be open to the general public during Budafest, Dec. 1-2.
This year, in addition to a wide variety of hardback and paperback books for adults and children, there are lots of audio book CD’s, movies on DVD and VHS, as well as a large selection of valuable collectible comics, including Batman, Catwoman, Vampirella and the Green Hornet. Autographed copies of “People and Places in and Around Historic Buda” will be available. Author Mary Giberson will be on hand Sunday afternoon to personalize books.
All proceeds from this event go to help the Buda Library with special expenses, such as the purchase of books for children and the summer reading programs, subscriptions for college prep-test software and digital service provider of downloadable books, movies and music. So come out early to support your public library, where you will find bargains galore.
