District presents 2011-12 attendance awards

Five Hays CISD campuses were honored for strong student attendance for the 2011-12 school year. Elm Grove had the highest attendance rate among elementary schools, earning the Eagles a new banner. Students with perfect attendance from each grade are (l-r) Angel Pierce, Reece Rojas (behind in dark shirt), Connor McCracken, Illiana Hopkins, Lauren Barrett and Brent Mangham. Standing with the kids are Christine Molis, attendance clerk, Carol Childress, PEIMS clerk, Jennifer Narvaiz, district attendance officer, Felisa Jimenez, district attendance officer, Adrienne Voskamp, assistant principal and Kathy Faulks, principal. Dahlstrom Middle School had the highest attendance rate among middle schools. Negley Elementary and Carpenter Hill Elementary tied for most improved elementary schools while Live Oak Academy claimed most improved for secondary schools.
