Grab your best partner and make plans to head out to Painted Horse Pavilion at 1750 South FM 1626 in Buda for the annual Buda VoAg Booster Club dinner and dance on Saturday, Aug. 25. The BBQ dinner is catered by Frakie’s and will be served from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Silent auction starts at 6 p.m. with live auction starting at 8:30 p.m. The Sam Bentley Band will play from 7 p.m. to midnight. This event is open to the public, with proceeds benefiting the Buda 4H and Hays County FFA Youth. Tickets will be sold at the door, $10; kids 7-13 (under age 6 free) and $20, ages 14 & up. Onesimo (Tete) Rodriguez has given up the keys of the city of Buda van as of July 31. For several years, Rodriguez has driven the van which provides transportation to doctor appointments, grocery shopping and other needs for senior residents of the city.
