The path of least resistance took this massive wind turbine generator (weighing in at 600,000 pounds) straight through downtown Kyle last Wednesday morning. With a police escort and PEC linemen scrambling ahead of the wide-load, traffic was backed up in all directions as men in cherry pickers and on the street with poles hoisted power lines block after block. The 180 foot long container originated in the Houston ship channel and is on its way to California via Hwy. 150 and the Texas Hill Country.
