Kathleen Ann Miller was born to mother, Geraldine Crosby and father, Donald Calvert in Carlinville, Illinois on September 1, 1942. She moved to Houston as a young child and grew up there with her mother. She graduated from Jesse H. Jones High School in Houston, class of 1960. Kathy met and married Royce Miller in 1963. Royce joined the Air Force and together they traveled to locations in the U.S.
They adopted their first child, Tracie, in 1971 and had their second child, Jason in 1973. The family continued to travel and was last stationed in Tokyo, Japan, before moving to Austin in 1984 where Royce retired from the military. Kathy continued to work in accounting and administrative departments at Veteran’s Affairs. She then retired and moved to Buda. In Buda she made many friends and gathered frequently with them. She continued to work as an assistant to Mrs. Dahlstrom.
She is survived by children Tracie Miller, Jason and Avery Miller and grandchildren, Addison and Harper. A viewing was held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle. A memorial will be held Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m. in Giddings, at the residence of her cousin, Jerre Paseur.
