The award-winning Kyle Chamber of Commerce continues a great 2011 with another informative luncheon at 11:30 a.m. March 22.
The State of the City luncheon will be held at the Plum Creek Golf clubhouse here in Kyle.The luncheon is being sponsored by the Hilltop Center for Cancer Care. All members and the public are invited to attend.
At the “State of the City” luncheon, Mayor Lucy Johnson and City Manager Lanny Lambert will lead an informative presentation about the future of Kyle and what residents can expect in the upcoming year. Included in the presentation, will be a discussion about the release of the recent census numbers and how Kyle has shown a population growth of more than 400 percent since 2000.
Johnson stated, “I’m honored to highlight all the great things happening in our community at the ‘State of the City’ during the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon. Our city is in better shape than ever before, and our City Council is taking significant steps to transform our city into a ‘Full-Service’ Community. This next year holds many opportunities, and I look forward to sharing them with everyone.”
This luncheon is expected to sell out. Guests are encouraged to register online no later than March 18 at www.KyleChamber.org under the Calendar of Events tab.
