The Friends of the Buda Public Library and the Hays Free Press are excited to announce the winners of the Summer Essay Contest for Young Writers. Open to all residents of Hays County holding a Buda Library card, the contest was divided into two categories: 9-13 year olds and 14-18 year olds.
Winners in the Youth Division: 1st, Noel Mueller; 2nd, Faith Broddrick; 3rd, Robbie Woodworth
Every participant will be recognized at the Youth Award Ceremony Thursday, August 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Kunkel Room of Buda Elementary.
Winners in the Teen Division: 1st, Robert Cowan; 2nd, Dannie Trader; 3rd, Minerva Hernandez
Every participant will be recognized at the Teen Award Ceremony Friday, August 12 at 5 p.m. at the Buda Public Library.
