Rosa Maria Campos Salazar was born September 4, 1936, in Atascosa, Texas. The Lord called her home on July 25, 2011. She was loved by all whose lives she touched and volunteered at her great granddaughter’s elementary school.
She is preceded in death by husband Joaquin David Salazar and her beloved mother, Victoria Campos.
She is survived by her son David A. Salazar and his wife Esperanza Orosco; daughter Rosie Perez; grandchildren Stephanie Perez and Mercedes Salazar; and great-grandchild Viktoria Lookingbill.
She had many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who loved and will miss her deeply. Her family would like to thank close family friends Ray Galvez and the Custodio family for their love and support during this sorrowful time.
Join family and friends on Monday, August 8, 2011, in celebration of Rosa’s life at Castle Ridge Mortuary, 8008 Military Drive West, San Antonio. Visitation begins at 6 p.m. with the recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 9, at 10 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 9883 Marbach Road, San Antonio. The service will be followed by a procession to and internment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio.
