Carpenter Colts decorate bags for Earth Day

Students at Carpenter Hill Elementary School, like many of their counterparts across the district, are enthusiastically preparing for Earth Day this Friday. The Colts plan a full week of activities, including their Recycled Art Project Contest, Nike Re-use a Shoe, Waste Free Wednesday, and the Earth Day Groceries Project. In this last project, the Colts have decorated 640 paper HEB bags (matching the school’s enrollment) with Earth Day messages and returned them to the Buda HEB. The store will be using the Carpenter Hill student-decorated bags this week in observance of Earth Day, so the Colts encourage the public to go by and put one or two of the bags to use. The Colts thank Buda HEB for the sack contribution to this school/community project and shout out, “Go Green!”
