Before a new business can open in Buda – or an existing business can relocate to a new building – the city staff must issue a certificate of occupancy.
The aim of the certificate is to ensure that Buda’s code requirements for fire safety and building standards are met. So far this year, the city has issued more than a dozen certificates for commercial operations:
