Linda Kay Briscoe of Buda passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 at the age of 67. Kay came into this world under extraordinary circumstances. She was the first set of triplets to be born in New Braunfels. She was born on January 11, 1944.
She was a devoted wife, a loving sister and a cherished aunt. She was a happy homemaker for her doting husband of 37 years and she took pride in managing and decorating the home they built together. Kay enjoyed entertaining and making sure everyone was happy. Many just call her “Mom” because of her kind and caring manner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur & Margie Gilbert and her sister, Nita Hazlett. She is survived by her husband, Danny Briscoe; her sisters, Jeane Price, Myrna Myhre and Cindy Johnson; her brothers, Charles Gilbert and Don Gilbert and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and even great-great nieces and nephews. Kay was taken from us way too soon. She will be greatly missed, fondly remembered and always loved.
Visitation was Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Harrell Funeral Home in Austin.
