Christmas cheer will radiate as the Buda Trail of Lights returns for the 3rd year of fun, fellowship, music and holiday splendor at Historic Stagecoach Park. Mark your calendars for December 14-21 from 6-10 p.m. and don’t miss out on this free family event. Park visitors will enjoy a spectacular display of twinkling lights illuminating Stagecoach Park with various Winter Wonderland scenes and themes from 75 local businesses, churches, neighborhoods and organizations. Free parking is at Cabela’s with free shuttles to the Park.

On December 16 and 17 as part of the Trail of Lights, there will be a Holiday Extravaganza hosted by the Buda Downtown Merchants Association from 6-9 p.m. Visitors to Downtown Buda will be treated to vendors set up on the Greenbelt and businesses on Main Street will be open late for last-minute holiday shopping. The 32nd annual Buda-fest runs from 10 a.m. till dusk on December 3 and December 4 on the Greenbelt, Main Street, library parking lot, and City Park in Downtown Buda. Budafest includes over 100 artisan booths, food booths, parade, full carnival and musical entertainment. The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on December 3 starting at the Buda Fire Department off of FM 2770 and heading north on Main Street in downtown finishing in the parking area north of City Park. The official opening of the Stagecoach House and Visitors Center will take place on December 16 from 10 a.m. to noon with the ribbon cutting taking place at 10 a.m. At the ribbon cutting, there will be a proclamation read along with various speakers celebrating the official grand opening of the historic house and post office to the public. Afterwards, tours of the house and post office will be given by city staff and light refreshments will be available.

An Open House for the City of Buda will take place on December 1 from 5-7 p.m. at City Hall located at 121 Main Street and the Annex Building located at 100 Houston Street. Light refreshments will be served. The annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at City Hall on December 3 at dusk. For more information, call (512) 312-0084.
