HAYS COUNTY -- Spring is in the air, Easter is almost here and people are ready to celebrate.
Cities in Hays County are planning Easter festivities for all ages, with COVID-19 precautions in mind. Below is a list of the events that residents can participate in.
Kyle
Easter Egg Basket Giveaway
- Kyle Parks and Recreation will be giving away goodie-filled egg baskets to the first 50 families that register. Registration will close March 29 or once registration has been filled. Duplication registration will be cancelled. Register at http://www.teamsideline.com/kyle
- Baskets can be picked up at the Parks and Recreation office located at 700 Lehman Road Kyle, Texas 78640 between the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pick-ups will begin on March 22. All baskets must be picked up by April 2 at 4 p.m.
Easter Photo Contest
- To get into the Easter spirit, residents can submit a photo to [email protected]. The top five photos and winners will receive a gift basket. The last day for image submissions is April 5th. Winners will be notified by email by April 8th. A contest image submission gives the city of Kyle permission to use the image on promotional material and/or social media platforms.
Easter Trail Hop Egg Hunt
- The first 30 will be entered to participate in the first Easter Trail Hop Egg Hunt on March 27 at Waterleaf Plum Creek Trail. Register at http://www.teamsideline.com/kyle
- A 20-minute egg hunt experience will be spread out along the trail. Staff will hand out a timer to help keep track of their time limit. Upon arrival, attendees will need to check-in at the designated table to receive wristbands and buckets (if purchased).
Dripping Springs will not have any Easter events this year. Buda has not posted a schedule yet. Stay tuned for updates.
